Okay it has been sometime since I updated the Journal. If you didn't already know I have reached my destination, Jamestown, ND. I have survived 3 strong wind and hail storms since I have been her for a week. The wind today is blowing like crazy I think we might have another storm. On Friday of this week I walked downtown streets and took pictures of old buildings and new. I am calling this Jamestown, Past & Present. I will post all the pictures on the website plus I will add a few on the Blog. Hope everyone is having a safe and fun Memorial Weekend.

Kind of scarey to think that I have not updated for the last 7 days. Just to give you a reason why is because on of my destinations was Refro Valley KOA camp. Mt. Vernon, KY would be a better point which is in RockCastle county. My good friend Marty Brooker has until June 3 a KOA which he will be turning the keys over to the new owners. Good luck in your future endevors and hope the last 6 years will not be just a blink but holds great memories. Was hoping to spend more time but work was not available so I am on the road again. I left Sunday May 16th and traveled and stopped just outside of St. Louis, MO dry camping at Lebanon, MO. Very nice Historical town with very friendly people. Dry camping is something that RVing allows you to use your own resources that are stored on board, water, bathroom with shower and kitchen. Met some really nice people from Alaska traveling thru and spent over an hour talking with them and their travels. I will post more pictures as I have them ready. I was hoping to drive with small trips but it rained all day yesterday and into the early morning that it made more sense to keep driving. Today I am just out of Kansas City, MO at another KOA camp ground whick is saturated with mud and water all over. Not fun pulling in with a 40 ft. rig with a car attached and trying to keep from getting stuck. Plans for tomorrow is to go to Omaha, NE. this about a 3 hr ride and should be interesting. I have not been there in over 30 yrs so I my just have a steak tomorrow. Getting close to North Dakota and should be there by Friday.

Saturday put me in a very interesting place called Sweetwater, TN. Stayed at a KOA campground and disconnected the car for a photo shoot. There is a place called Lost Sea which is a cave that you walk in and the cavern is a huge lake that is as clear as can be with lighting impossible to take pictures. So I decided to go to Cherohala Skyway in Cherokee National Forest. Long drive but worth the trip, beautiful forest with a great drive through pines and oak trees. First stop was Bald River Falls with people rafting down the river which flows very fast and very beautiful. I will post a picture of the falls.
The town of Sweetwater had many great photo's plus antique landscape to make my day worth the drive. Will be leaving for Kentucky tomorrow and stopping at Williamsburg KY. Enjoy!

Okay, so I said I was going to take my time and make this a more photo opp. Left late on Friday and arrived at my first destination, Adairsville, GA. Check it out www.barnsleygardens.com
557 miles to the first location what a nightmare. Construction on 75 and 85 was unbelievable.
Going to Chattanooga today for photo's and possibly to Renfro Valley KOA camp ground.
Just to pass on what was experienced on the way was a girl got out of her car at a stop light on US 19 and danced frantically until the light changed. I could not get my camera video to work quick enought to capture that. Next major event is when you think you see tire tread on the road you think nothing of it just try to miss it. Well this tread was about 5 ft. long moving across the road, yes it was a gator and he lived to see another day. Close call. Hope everyone out there is having a great day!

We had a terrific time! It was quite the whirlwind vacation, but it was so special to us. We had such a wonderful time seeing all of our family and friends. We love each of you and it was so nice seeing all of you. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful and giving us so many lasting memories to take back with us!

Now it's back to work. : )

We had a great time and were honored to take photographs of these amazing group of guys at the 2008 Appalachian Bike Rally in Kentucky. A Great Turn Out at the Tarpon Springs Art Festival

Our first art festival was a terrific experience! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. Bowser Games

What a fun filled day for both our furry and non-furry friends. We had so much fun seeing and photographing all of the wonderful dogs at Highlander Park in Dunedin. This was for the Pinellas Animal Foundation's 2008 BOWser Games, which is an event that the whole family can enjoy. They had an agility course for everyone to try, no matter what experience or lack of they may have. There were tons of K9 displays and shows with many vendors, rescue and shelter groups, etc. It was just a great day to get out with your best friend(s), or as we call our two favorite pals, the kid(s). Thank you to everyone for letting us take pictures of your beautiful/handsome dogs! We had a great time. We're just sorry our Max and Saylor had to stay home today. (They would've loved it!)

Thank you Professional Photographers of America, Inc. and everyone who helped make Imaging USA a great convention for us and other professional photographers who attended.
We took away from the experience some good refreshers, some new tips on how to improve our workflow, and some great ideas that we came away with and put into action for 2008. We are excited and look forward to giving our clients the best photographic experience they can have when they book a session with us, from beginning to end, or purchase a scenic setting that will enhance the decor of your home or office.
We also met a lot of great professionals, and it just enhanced our experience at the convention. It was so nice to see Robert Knutson of Robert Knutson Photography from Bismark, ND and other photographers from the ND and MN area. Patrick hadn't seen Bob for approx. 25 years, and we just enjoyed seeing you again.

We started the first day of the year being thankful first and foremost, and then we were fortunate enough to go down to our local hidden treasure - Sunset Beach, where we shot a lot of great pictures of all the guys out there kite boarding. Wow, those guys are awesome and we could've stayed there all day watching and taking pictures. Thank you guys! We enjoyed the show. We look forward to seeing you again.

As we close out 2007 and look forward to 2008, we can't help but be tremendously greatful to our clients, friends, business associates, and family. We owe a lot to you.

Some of our most memorable moments in 2007 were combining our love for photography and capturing moments in time that can be treasured always in a lasting photographic image. We really enjoyed our commerical work that we did for the Renfro Valley KOA in Renfro Valley, KY. We fell upon, by chance, and fell in love with the Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville, GA. We were so compelled to take beautiful pictures of the gardens and ruins which drew us in.
